Bourbon Barrel‑Aged Imperial Stout — my favourite beer type — and this one is a very easy Yes.

• Pitch black
• Good mouthfeel: neither watery nor syrupy
• Right amount of bitterness
• Bourbony without the harsh alcohol burn
• A touch of chocolate in the background, but nothing too sweet

All in all, a very good and well‑rounded Imperial Stout. It’s easy to get in the USA and, compared to other beers in the same category, it sits at a very accessible price point.

You really can’t go wrong with this one.
